CommandSites was created out of more than seventeen years of hands-on experience in construction project controls, commercial management and contract administration — not as an abstract software concept, but as a response to a problem seen repeatedly on real projects: teams that already had the discipline to run a project well, working with tools that made that discipline harder than it needed to be.
The recurring issue was never the tooling. Every construction company already has it, every project manager already knows it, and it is capable of far more structure than it is usually given credit for. What was missing was not software — it was a consistent way to organize schedule, cost, commercial and workforce data so that the same discipline applied to a critical path could also be applied to a claim, a guarantee, or a supplier award.
